Ramadan Office Timing Government Announced

The government has rearranged the Ramadan office timing 2024 for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9 am to 3:30 pm for all government, semi- government, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies. The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting in the capital with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

As per the decision, all offices will have a 15-minute break for Zohr prayers from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm. Sehri, Iftar timings this year Private companies, insurance companies, financial institutions, post, railway, hospitals, state-run mills and factories and other emergency service-providing organisations will fix their own office time. The holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on 12 March subject to viewing the moon, according to the Islamic Foundation.

The decision was taken on Monday at the weekly cabinet meeting held with prime minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Senior Secretary (Coordination and Reforms) of the cabinet division Shamsul Arefin briefed reporters at the secretariat about the cabinet meeting.

He said there will be a 15-minute break from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm for Zohr prayers.

Arefin said banks, companies and financial institutions will fix their own office timing ahead of the Ramadan.

The government has set the office timing for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan from 9 am to 3:30 pm for all government, semi-government, autonomous & semi-autonomous organizations.

There will be a break for Zuhr prayers from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm in Ramadan. Weekly holidays will be on Friday and Saturday as usual.

The decision was taken today at a regular Cabinet meeting, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

The office time for Holy Ramadan is from 9-00 am to 3-30 pm. There will be a prayer break of 15 minutes from 1-15 pm to 1-30 pm.
