Chitra Express is the second intercity express train of Dhaka to Khulna railway. It has a total of 12 passenger coaches with 881 seats and is equipped with all the modern facilities including AC cabin and AC chair compartment. During the religious festivals, especially the two Eids, additional bogies are added to the train due to the increased number of passengers. This train departs from Dhaka at 07:00 pm in the evening and reaches Khulna at 03:40 am at midnight. Just like Sundarban Express, Chitra also operates 6 days a week apart from Monday.
